Questions and answers

How is interest calculated on a deposit?
Interest is accrued every day on the account balance and payments are made once a month. The accrued amounts are added to the deposit (capitalized).
What is interest capitalization?
This is when the interest accrued for the month is added to the principal deposit. The following month, the interest is calculated from a new, larger amount.
What is the difference between effective and nominal rates?
  • The nominal rate is simply the percentage at which your monthly payments are calculated.
  • The effective rate is the total return taking into account capitalization, that is, when interest is added to the deposit and interest is also accrued on it in the following month.
Is the deposit insured?
Yes. All deposits are insured by the government:
  • Up to 20 million ₸ - if the deposit is in tenge.
  • Up to 5 million ₸ — if the deposit is in a foreign currency (equivalent at the exchange rate). If you have several deposits in the bank, the total limit is taken into account - a maximum of 20 million ₸ in total for all deposits.
What should I do if the money has not arrived after replenishment?
If the money has not been credited to the account, call us at 595. We will figure it out and help.
